Schedule Curbside Pickup with Route Deviation Service

We understand that traveling to a bus stop or bus route isn’t always feasible. But we want to make sure we’re always offering the best service to as many people as possible – even if it means going off a designated route.

If you live within a 3 ⁄ 4 of a mile of a CTRAN bus route, you may qualify for curbside pickup with our Route Deviation/Demand Response Service Program. This program is designed to make taking the bus easier and more convenient for busy commuters and families, as well as seniors and people with disabilities.

How to Use Route Deviation

You must schedule each Route Deviation ahead of time by calling the CTRAN Customer Service Department at (607) 734-5211 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. For next day service, your request must be made by 5 p.m. the day prior.

The fare for Route Deviation is double the regular fixed route fare: $3.50 (standard) or $1.75 (half fare). Monthly or semester passes do not apply toward payment of Route Deviation.

Route Deviation is not provided to the following commuter routes: #10 Elmira – Owego; #20 Elmira-Coming; and #30X Elmira – Ithaca.
